Debuting at Baselworld in 2018, the Rolex GMT-Master II ref. 126715CHNR has earned the nickname “Rootbeer” thanks to its uncanny resemblance to the original “Rootbeer”, the vintage Rolex GMT Master ref. 16753. Featuring an entirely 18kt Everose gold construction, the Rootbeer’s two-tone black and brown Cerachrom bezel matches the various shades the timepiece’s rose gold construction can appear under various lighting conditions. Fitted with a glossy black maxi dial that ties the bezel and construction together, the Rootbeer serves as a beautiful reminder of just how luxurious a sports model Rolex can become, without compromising either form or function. Powered by the capable cal. 3285, the Rootbeer features 70 hours of power reserve, a GMT function, as its name suggests, and 100m of water resistance that ensures it can stand as a genuine sports watch and not just the hyper-luxurious timepiece that it is as a result of its completely golden construction.

The Dial

Remaining true to the Rootbeer’s monochromatic aesthetic, the ref. 126715CHNR features a black dial with 18kt rose gold hands, and luminous indexes that carry the timepiece’s color in a rather uncompromising manner.

Offered in outstanding condition, this timepiece still features some of the original stickers it would have sported while in the original Authorized Dealer’s possession.
