This is the first supernatural comic ever published. It first appeared at the beginning of 1947 and this title must have looked terrifying when it hit the stands. Silhouetted by a full yellow moon, a devilish fiend with a knife is slowly descending the stairs of a decaying ruin. At the bottom, a helpless, bound woman looks up in terror at her possible fate. This issue is a perfect example of everything that Seduction of the Innocent would end up fighting against in a few years. Published by Avon Periodicals, the book features artwork by Joe Kubert as well as Bob Fugitani. Under this title, it lasted 17 issues and with #18, it became Strange Worlds. The pages are off-white. The book is CGC-certified VF/NM 9.0. It is labeled as the first horror comic.
